Detailed information

Product detailed description

Bunka 165mm OHS Sakai Kikumori

Everyday ingredient preparation in the kitchen is best done with a knife that combines cutting precision, versatility and easy maintenance. The Bunka OHS Sakai Kikumori has a laminated blade with a core made of SG2 powdered stainless steel and a Damascus pattern. This steel achieves high hardness and retains its edge for a long time, even with regular use. The high profile with a straight edge that is slightly rounded towards the tip handles meat, vegetables and herbs, and performs best with push cut or tap chop techniques. The angled tip makes detailed work easier, such as coring tomatoes, cutting mushroom caps or finely chopping garlic.

Materials and maintenance

The core of the blade is made of SG2 powdered stainless steel, which achieves high hardness while retaining toughness. The octagonal wa handle made of oak wood fits comfortably in the palm and naturally orients the edge perpendicular to the ingredient.

Wash the knife by hand only, dry it immediately after use and store it in a dry place.

Good to know

Use the knife on a cutting board made of wood or another material that is gentle on the edge. It is not intended for cutting bones, pits, shells, hard woody stems or frozen foods. Do not use it for prying or any other lateral loading of the blade.

Do not wash the knife in a dishwasher and do not use a rotary electric sharpener. Keep it out of the reach of children and store it so that the blade is protected from damage and unintended contact.
