Detailed information

Product detailed description

This Japanese knife is specially designed for cutting soft cheeses, such as brie, camembert or gorgonzola. Thanks to its narrow blade and fine serrations, it minimizes the sticking of cheese to the blade and allows for clean and precise cuts. The sharp tip can be used to pick up cheese pieces or to remove hard edges. The wavy and serrated blade is also great for slicing steaks, pastries, vegetables or fruits.

Morinoki is a range of kitchen knives and tools for everyday use, featuring a simple yet thoughtful design. The stainless steel blades offer durability and easy maintenance. The knives in this series are light, functional, and have a distinctive shape. Special attention has been paid to the original squared handles made from Japanese elm, giving the knives a pleasant, rustic appearance. This range is ideal for cooks of all levels who seek a reliable knife that doesn't require much pampering.

Shizu Hamono

Shizu Hamono is a family company founded in 1980, which continues the rich tradition of knife-making craft in the city of Seki in the Japanese Gifu Prefecture. Proud of its heritage, it bears a name inspired by the master craftsman Saburo Sizu from the Edo period. At Shizu, they are committed to producing knives that meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Their original series Yuri, Yamato, and Morinoki are designed with a focus on ease of use and comfort during work. They put great effort into production and believe that their knives help people fully enjoy cooking.

Material

The blade is made from DSR1k6 stainless steel, and the handle is made from Zelkova wood - Japanese elm.

Note: The knife comes in an original cardboard box.

Care

Avoid using a dishwasher, which can damage the blade and wooden handle. Wash only by hand with a gentle detergent and dry thoroughly after use. Store in a dry place to prevent steel oxidation.

The blade is made of stainless steel and therefore does not require much care. However, it is important to keep the blade clean and dry after use. To restore the appearance, both the blade and handle can be treated with oil - preferably linseed or camellia oil

SHIZU-HAMONO_BRAND-SLIM
