However, due to its shape, it also works great as a butter knife. The compact dimensions ensure precise and safe portioning. Manufacturer

Shizu Hamono is a family company founded in 1980, continuing the rich tradition of cutlery craftsmanship in the city of Seki, in the Japanese prefecture of Gifu. Proud of its heritage, the name is inspired by the master craftsman Saburo Sizu from the Edo period. At Shizu, they are committed to producing knives that meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Their original series Yuri, Yamato, and Morinoki are designed with an emphasis on ease of use and working comfort. They put great effort into production and believe their knives help people fully enjoy cooking.

The blade is made from stainless steel DSR1K6, and the handle is made from Zelkova wood - Japanese elm. 

Note: The knife is delivered in an original cardboard box. 

Maintenance

Avoid the dishwasher as it may damage the edge and the wooden handle. Wash only by hand with a gentle detergent and dry thoroughly after use. Store in a dry place to prevent steel oxidation. The blade is made of stainless steel, so it does not require much care. Nevertheless, it is important to keep the blade clean and dry after use. To restore appearance, you can coat both the blade and the handle with oil, preferably linseed or camellia oil
