Shizu Hamono
Shizu Hamono is a family company founded in 1980, continuing the rich tradition of knife-making craftsmanship in the city of Seki in Japan's Gifu Prefecture. Proud of its heritage, it carries a name inspired by master craftsman Saburo Sizu from the Edo period. Shizu is committed to producing knives that meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Their original series Yuri, Yamato, and Morinoki are designed with ease of use and comfort in mind. They put great effort into their manufacturing and believe their knives help people fully enjoy cooking.
Material
The blade is made of stainless steel DSR1k6, and the handle is made of Zelkova wood - Japanese elm.
Note: The knife is delivered in the original cardboard box.
Maintenance
Avoid the dishwasher, which may damage the edge and wooden handle. Hand wash only with a mild detergent and dry well after use. Store in a dry place to prevent steel oxidation.
The blade is made of stainless steel, so it does not require as much care. Nevertheless, it is important to keep the blade clean and dry after use. To restore appearance, both the blade and handle can be oiled - preferably with linseed or camellia oil.
