    Ikebana Essentials Bundle - Modern Black

    Bundle contains the two most essential tools for preparing ikebana - kenzan and floral scissors, which are stored in a practical all-metal box. By purchasing this bundle, you get the tools 10% cheaper than when buying them individually.

    Ikebana is a traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, which has evolved over many centuries. The word "ikebana" literally means "the art of flowers". Ikebana is more than just flower arranging; it is an art form that seeks to express simplicity, harmony, and natural beauty. Ikebana is also used as a means of meditation and expression of a spiritual bond with nature.

    Kenzans are metal plates with needles, pins, or spikes used to secure flowers, leaves, and branches in arrangements. The needles hold the plants in place and allow for various flower arrangements. The kenzan is then placed in a water container, often transparent or very open, so that, apart from the flowers, the stems and other parts of the plants stand out. In the winter period, dried flowers can also be used for ikebana, or you can create a Christmas-inspired ikebana decoration.

    Manufacturer

    The company Toyo Steel is the first in the world to develop the technology of producing metal tool boxes from a single piece of steel. Their products have received the "Good Design Award" and "Long Life Design Award" and have been popular since 1969.

    Sakagen, based in Sanjo, Japan, has been manufacturing world-famous floral scissors for over a century. Since its founding in 1903, the company has specialized in producing high-quality tools made using traditional techniques and the most modern equipment.

    Ishizaki Kenzan is located in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture. Stainless steel kenzans are handmade here - needles are inserted one by one into a plate with small holes, which is then placed into a mold and filled with molten steel. Ishizaki Kenzan prides itself on the quality of its products, which are supplied worldwide.

    T-320 Black: Elegant and functional storage box for those who value clean design and perfect organization. Made in Japan from high-quality steel.

    Japanese scissors Sakagen yellow: Multi-purpose floral scissors suitable for beginners. They have extremely sharp blades and soft handles, making these scissors the most comfortable on the market.

    Japanese stainless steel kenzan: Kenzans are metal plates with needles, pins, or spikes used to secure flowers, leaves, and branches in arrangements.

    Maintenance

    The toolbox and kenzan require no special maintenance. After use, wash the kenzan with water. Remove dirt from the base and between the needles. Dry and store in a place where there's no risk of it falling, out of children's reach.

    The scissors are made of steel with a higher carbon content, so the blades need care. Always clean after work and keep the scissors dry. Regularly oil, let it dry, and finish drying. For care, you can use camellia oil or our offered maintenance kit.
