    Manufacturer

    Pallarés Solsona is primarily a family business specializing in the production of knives with wide applications and other primarily kitchen tools. However, their portfolio also includes garden shears or axes. Today, they are the only manufacturer of their kind in the town of Solsona, which was once dotted with small factories. With more than 100 years of experience, they easily become a symbol of uncompromising quality and craftsmanship. Their rich history and passion for honest manufacturing are key values on which this love brand builds its reputation.

    Material

    Carbon steel. Carbon steel is harder than stainless steel and retains its edge a little longer. However, it requires a bit of love and care, as it tends to oxidize if not properly maintained. It is also natural for carbon steel to develop a patina over time.

    Maintenance

    The carbon steel blade offers great edge retention, but requires more care compared to stainless steel. The scissors need to be regularly oiled, ideally before the first use. Keep the carbon steel blade clean and dry after use. After cleaning, apply a thin layer of oil - preferably camellia oil, but almost any household lubricant like WD-40 will suffice. This oil layer protects the blade from moisture and corrosion.
