    The Suehiro 2HS-13 sharpening stone is a medium grit water stone with a grit size of #1000, specially designed for sharpening carving tools—such as chisels with round, triangular, or flat profiles, and carving or engraving knives.

    The stone is made from durable, non-absorbent material and requires only light moistening before use. The package includes a rubber stand that provides stability during sharpening and also serves as a water catcher. A smaller rubber is also available for removing dirt from the stone's surface.

    This sharpening stone is ideal for carvers and artists who need precise and efficient sharpening of their tools. Its design allows for easy and quick edge restoration, contributing to longer tool life and high work quality.

    Work Procedure:
    1. Place the stone in the non-slip stand and gently moisten it.
    2. Use the shaped side of the stone for sharpening round and curved tools.
    3. Use the flat side of the stone for sharpening straight knives and chisels.
    4. After use, wipe off all dirt using the included rubber.
    5. Let dry thoroughly and store in a dry, safe place.

    Suehiro

    Suehiro is a renowned Japanese brand specializing in the production of synthetic sharpening stones. The company was founded by Kenkichi Okumura in 1967 and is based in the Niigata region. Suehiro has made a name for itself by studying natural sharpening stones and developing synthetic alternatives that not only match the performance of natural stones but in some cases even surpass them.

    Material

    Inorganic fired ceramic abrasive - white aluminum oxide / green silicon carbide.

    Note: The stone is delivered in its original cardboard box. The package includes a non-slip mat and a cleaning rubber.

    Maintenance

    After use, always clean and thoroughly dry the stone. Use only water for sharpening, do not use oil or chemical products. To level the back - flat side of the stone, use waterproof sandpaper.
    Avoid sudden impacts or contact with hard objects— the stone could be damaged.
