    Set of 10 Handcrafted Japanese Chisels by Sukemaru

    The oire nomi chisels are traditional Japanese chisels used in carpentry and joinery. They are suitable for various types of wood and can be used for detailed woodwork, joint carving, or surface shaping. These chisels are popular among craftsmen and artists for their excellent sharpness and precision. The HSS oiirenomi are a modern variant of mentori oiirenomi made from high-alloy steel, which is harder and more resistant to wear.

    Material

    Japanese red oak, HSS steel. Designed for working with both soft and hard wood. Can be used with a wooden mallet and metal hammers. Delivered in a decorative paper box, set in a polystyrene protective base. 

    Maintenance

    Sharpening is ideally conducted with the wet method using Japanese sharpening stones.
