Product detailed description
Flower Scissors Toyama Hamono T-8 PG
Japanese floristry scissors designed for flower arrangement in the style of Ikebana. Intended for professional work. The T-8 PG model is made from Japanese forged carbon steel with a pink surface finish. The blades are short, extremely sharp, but with a small cutting diameter. Thanks to the extreme sharpness, similar to kitchen knives, they allow for precise and clean cuts which help plants absorb water better. They are intended only for fresh plants and flowers with a stem diameter of up to 10 mm. Can also be used for bonsai care. Ergonomically shaped handles provide a comfortable grip, but their special design is intended for experienced gardeners and professional floral studios - the cut is free, without resistance, and the handles are elongated, snake-shaped, with no finger loops.

Manufacturer
Made by Toyama Hamono, a Japanese manufacturer located in the traditional blacksmith district of Sanjo Niigata. They began their history as early as 1861 when they started producing cutlery products. Today, Toyama Hamono is an established brand and is recognized not just on the domestic market but also in western markets. Their current products still embody the tradition and craftsmanship of producing Japanese samurai swords. In production, they combine modern steel-drawing manufacturing technologies with hand sharpening, grinding, and final finishing.

Material
The scissors are made from Japanese forged carbon steel. This gives the material higher hardness, very good durability, and the ability to achieve extreme sharpness. The bright pink color fades with repeated use and changes to a pale gradation that overlaps with the original color of the iron.
Note: Delivered in gift packaging. Includes a protective blade cover.
Maintenance
The scissors are intended for cutting fresh plants and flowers with a stem diameter of up to 10 mm.
Using them to cut anything other than plants or misuse may cause damage. Do not cut hard objects, such as wires, artificial and dried flowers, hard bushes, or bamboo.
Steel with a higher carbon content requires careful maintenance. Always clean the scissors after use and keep them dry. Depending on usage, regularly coat with oil, let dry, and post-dry. You can use camellia oil or the offered maintenance kit. Oiling is also recommended if you plan to store them for a longer period.
