    Balcony Gardening Tool Set Asano Mokkousho 

    Three-piece set of small gardening tools from the Japanese brand Asano Mokkousho is designed for modern city living. The set is perfect for apartment balcony and terrace gardening. Small rakes with claws are suitable for loosening, tilling, and clearing soil. The transplanting trowel is palm-sized with a short handle for easy handling of plants in window boxes or small flower pots. The needle is used for aerating the soil or preparing holes for seeds, bulbs, and seedlings.

    Manufacturer

    The design and production take place exclusively in Japan, in the traditional industrial region of Sanjo specializing in metalwork and woodworking. The Asano Mokkousho company was founded in 1950 by a young farmer, Teisuke Asano, and his wife Sakae Sasagawa, daughter of a Tokyo industrialist. The production portfolio is almost exclusively focused on small hand tools for the needs of gardeners, small farmers, and agriculturists. Today, Asano exports to Australia, USA, Canada, and Western Europe.

    Material

    The metal parts are made from stainless steel and coated with a protective layer of enamel. The handles use wood from Japanese beech trees, which grow at higher altitudes directly in the surrounding region of Niigata.

    Note: Supplied in a cardboard box.
    Toyo steel box is not included in the set and can be purchased HERE.

    Maintenance

    The tools require no special maintenance. It is sufficient to keep them clean and dry.
