    Garden Trowel Holly Adler 

    Garden care consists of small, regular tasks. Planting new seedlings, repotting plants in spring, and loosening the soil around roots all require a tool that is easy to control and sits naturally in the palm of your hand. The Holly Adler garden trowel is shaped to glide smoothly into the soil without unnecessary resistance. The narrow forged carbon steel blade retains its stable shape even when working in compacted soil, while the smoothly finished ash handle provides a secure grip.

    About the manufacturer

    Adler is a German brand of gardening and forestry tools with a history dating back to 1919. The company was founded as Josef Schmitt's village smithy in Wiesental and today concentrates its manufacturing in Waghäusel. Under one roof, it combines the forging of metal heads with the production of wooden handles. The family business is now run by the fourth generation of the Schmitt family.

    Materials and care

    The trowel head is made of C45 carbon steel treated with a temporary protective coating. The handle is made of European ash with FSC® certification and has an anti-slip coating.


    After use, remove soil and plant residue from the trowel and thoroughly dry the metal part. Before prolonged storage, treat the steel head with protective oil. Store the tool in a dry place. The working edges can be restored with a whetstone as needed; avoid overheating the steel when sharpening.

    Good to know

    Use the trowel for working with soil, growing media, and compost. It is not intended for prying up heavy stones or cutting roots in stony soil, which may cause the tang to become misaligned or damage the wooden handle. When working, maintain a sufficient distance from other people and do not use the tool if the handle or the connection to the head is damaged. Keep out of reach of children.
