    Hand-forged sickle with a wooden handle. A tool with a millennial tradition, used for trimming vine shoots. The blade has a curved, hook-like shape and a raw, hand-crafted appearance. Ideal for gardeners and farmers.

    Manufacturer

    Pallarés Solsona is primarily a family business specializing in the production of knives with wide applications and other primarily kitchen tools. However, their portfolio also includes garden shears or axes. Today, they are the only manufacturer of their kind in the town of Solsona, which was once dotted with small factories. With more than 100 years of experience, they easily become a symbol of uncompromising quality and craftsmanship. Their rich history and passion for honest manufacturing are key values on which this love brand builds its reputation.

    Material

    Carbon steel. Carbon steel is harder than stainless steel and maintains a sharp edge a bit longer. However, it requires a bit of love and care as it tends to oxidize if not properly maintained. It is also natural for carbon steel to develop a patina over time.

    Note: There is a small number one written on the handle - a marking from production. It can be removed with gentle sanding. 

    Maintenance

    Carbon steel is incredibly strong and durable and requires minimal care to maximize its lifespan. To prevent rust, always ensure the tool is dry when not in use. Do not leave it outside overnight or in the rain. Protect the steel with our camellia oil or another protective oil to prevent rust. Oil or wax the handle from time to time.
