    Pocket Knife Pastor from Pallarés Solsona

    Small folding knife with a stainless steel blade and a handle made of boxwood. At Pallarés, they call it pastor - a shepherd's knife. It is equipped with a traditional blade that closes without a lock. Leaf-shaped blade, typical for this region, is very sharp and easy to sharpen. Light yet sturdy wooden handle adds natural beauty and a classic look to the knife. The light boxwood is polished to a pleasantly smooth finish, and the small rounded handle fits well even in smaller hands. Its usage is versatile, ideal for the woods, mushroom picking, camping, fishing, for the pocket, for food, opening packages, and other everyday uses. Hand-crafted in Catalonia in Pallarès workshops.

However, their portfolio does not lack garden shears or axes. Today, they are the only producer of their kind in the town of Solsona, which was once dotted with small factories. With over 100 years of experience, they easily become a symbol of uncompromising quality and craftsmanship.     Material

    Stainless steel, boxwood. Boxwood, known as 'zimostráz' in Czech, is a hard wood with high density. It was once used, for example, for making pétanque balls due to its properties, today primarily for musical instruments.

    Note: The knife fits excellently with a Pallarés leather sheath of size 12 cm.

    Maintenance

    Keep the wooden handle dry. It is not recommended to leave it in water for an extended time as the wood may expand or contract, damaging the knife's mechanism. For regular sharpening, we recommend Pallarés Solsona natural sharpening stone.

    PALLARES_BRAND-SLIM

    Nožířství v Solsoně má dlouhou tradici sahající až do 16. století. Firma Pallarès, založená v roce 1917, je dnes posledním svědkem slavného průmyslu výroby nožů ve městě. Firma Pallarès byla založena bratry Lluísem a Carlesem Pallarèsem Canalem, kteří se brzy proslavili kvalitními noži, jež prodávali v regionu Solsonés, a také v provinciích Barcelona a Girona. Na začátku nového století převzala vedení firmy třetí generace. Modernizace a adaptace na nové technologie pokračovaly a trh se rozšířil i do Francie, Švýcarska, Německa a několika jihoamerických zemí.
