    Metal awl with a wooden handle and a copper ring. A traditional tool for marking lines, shapes, and positions for holes on leather, patterns, and some fabrics. It is primarily used in upholstery and handcrafting with leather, but it is also useful in general sewing of sturdier fabrics, for example, for turning out corners.
