    Juntaro Mitsukawa Saw Set

    This series of traditionally made and relatively small saws is intended for those engaged in precision joinery. These are professional tools, not suitable for beginners. The saws have tempered blades, allowing for very clean cuts in various applications for smaller projects. For easier differentiation of saws intended for different types of cuts, symbols are placed on the handles indicating their intended use. These saws are light as a feather and are a pleasure for both the eye and the hand.

    Manufacturer

    Daizo Mitsukawa, born in 1961, lives and works in Miki City in Hyogo Prefecture. He is one of the younger saw smiths in Japan and took over the smithy from his father to carry the tradition into a new generation. Besides the saws he makes for everyday professional use in traditional crafts, he also creates a high-quality line of saws that are almost entirely handmade. These saws are used in the restoration of important and historical shrines and temples. These excellent saws contribute to preservation and are themselves an important part of Japan's cultural heritage.

    Material

    The saw blade made of steel offers extreme sharpness, hardness, and durability. This makes it possible to achieve very precise and smooth cuts. At the same time, confidence and experience in using Japanese saws are required. The narrow blade is prone to breaking if used incorrectly. Excessive lateral pressure or bending leads to damage. It is recommended to cut dry wood. This is a professional tool. The warranty does not cover blade breakage.

    Note: Delivered in original packaging.

    Maintenance

    After work, the saw needs to be cleaned. Keep dry. Occasionally oil. All saws except the Keyhole saw can be sharpened.

    Daizo Mitsukawa, narozený v roce 1961, žije a pracuje v městě Miki v prefektuře Hyogo. Je jedním z mladších kovářů pil v Japonsku a převzal kovárnu po svém otci, aby přenesl tradici do nové generace. Kromě pil, které vyrábí pro každodenní profesionální použití v tradičních řemeslech, také vytváří vysoce kvalitní řadu pil, které jsou téměř zcela ručně kovány. Tyto pily se používají při obnově důležitých a historických svatyní a chrámů. Použití sériově vyráběných pil při této práci je považováno za projev nedodržování historie a tradice, které jak budovy, tak mistrovští dřevorubci reprezentovali po staletí. Tyto vynikající pily přispívají k ochraně a samy jsou důležitou součástí kulturního dědictví Japonska. Pily od Mitsukawy by neměly být používány začátečníky!
