    Product detailed description

    The hand broom made of rice straw from Redecker. It is hand-bound and shaped according to the traditional Dutch style. The rice fibers are held together by a blue synthetic rope, which creates a loop at the end of the handle for hanging. The fibers are quite hard and do not absorb water, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor sweeping. Its shape is great for sweeping smaller or hard-to-reach areas and corners. It can handle wet leaves, and the broom's manufacturer recommends it for cleaning car mats, for example.

    Redecker je výrobce přírodních kartáčů, štětců a mnoha dalších výrobků pro péči o tělo a domácnost se sídlem v německém Versmoldu. Historie společnosti sahá až do roku 1935, kdy její zakladatel Friedel Redecker začal ručně vyrábět první kartáče. Dnes podnik vede již třetí generace Redeckerů a postupně se z prodeje na místních trzích rozšířil na dodávky do různých částí světa. Jejich cílem je vytvářet udržitelné, praktické a trvanlivé nástroje. Důležitá je pro ně také vizuální stránka designu - ačkoli sledují především funkci, jejich věci jsou i krásné a dělají lidem radost při každodenním používání. Nejčastěji používanými materiály jsou místně dostupné dřeviny, jako je buk, dub, hrušeň a jasan. Dřevo zpracovávají neošetřené, případně ho olejují nebo voskují. K jejich výrobkům neodmyslitelně patří také různé druhy štětin a vláken, zejména kančí, koňské a kozí chlupy a rostlinná vlákna, jako je tampico, arenga, sisal a rýžová sláma.
