    8-inch hand saw for carpentry and carving work from the traditional English brand Thomas Flinn. It features fine teeth 40 TPI made of high carbon steel, a beech wood handle and a brass collar with a polished top blade rail. The engraved historical logo on the blade emphasizes the precision craftsmanship of the tool intended for professional and demanding hobby use.

    Manufacturer

    Thomas Flinn & Co. is a British company from Sheffield founded in 1923, specializing in hand saws and tools for carpenters and joiners. Originally a small family business, it merged with saw manufacturer Pax in the 1950s and ceased chainsaw production in the 1980s to focus exclusively on hand saws. Today, it offers a wide range of tools, valued worldwide for their precision, tradition, and high-quality craftsmanship.

    Maintenance

    For long-lasting saw life, we recommend cleaning the carbon steel blade from dust and resin after each use and lightly oiling it, for example, with camellia oil which effectively protects against corrosion. The beech handle should occasionally be treated with linseed oil to maintain a smooth surface and resistance to moisture. Brass parts can be cleaned with a soft cloth or suitable polish, avoiding contact of the polishing agent with the blade and engraved logo. Store the saw in dry conditions, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
