    Folding Saw Butterfly Saw 2 from Conifer Cone

    A folding saw based on the shape of traditional Japanese pull saws in the modern design of the current century. Exceptional appearance, great product design, and excellent features. The blade is made of carbon steel and has a saw edge on both outer sides of the board. The handle is formed by two steel plates in the form of wings with wooden slats functioning as handles. The wings act as a blade cover when closed. On the bottom side, there is a lock for securing the open/closed saw. Easy to use and when folded, fits the size of a palm.

    Material

    The blade is made from carbon steel used in artisan saws - it retains its sharpness for an unexpectedly long time and is very durable. The strength of the blade has a slight deflection and offers an easy straight cut. The Butterfly Saw 2 blade newly uses a special fluorine coating (SSFC: Super Smooth Fluororesin Coating) developed to maximize performance and a light feel when cutting. The handle is made from "North American black cherry," which is smooth to the touch, has a beautiful wood texture, and visually transforms with use.

    Note: The package includes a wrench to tighten the parts of the saw. An original leather case can be purchased additionally.

    Maintenance

    No special maintenance is prescribed by the manufacturer. To ensure long blade life, it is recommended to treat with oil, for instance, camellia. The handle (wings) is made from solid natural wood, so screws may loosen due to expansion/contraction caused by moisture and dryness. We recommend regularly checking for looseness with a wrench and tightening it if necessary. Wooden slats can be lightly treated with oil or wax.
