Adler is a traditional German brand with a 100-year history. In 1919, its foundations were laid by Josef Schmitt, when he opened a small blacksmith shop in the village of Wiesental. To this day, all axes are stamped with the JSW mark, referencing its origin. Adler company holds several certifications in the areas of origin, safety, and eco-friendly production. The production plant is located in southern Germany near the city of Heidelberg and is already run by the fourth generation of the Schmitt family.

The head is exclusively forged from tested carbon steels (C60 or C45), extra sharp and coated with a rust-resistant layer. The wooden handle is made from American hickory or ash.

Note: A leather protective cover for the head is included. Delivered in a cardboard box filled with wood shavings.

No special maintenance required. Store the axe in a dry place. Apply oil to the axe head after use or before long storage. The manufacturer recommends Ballistol, as it can be used to treat the head, the wooden handle, and the leather sheath. Use a sharpening stone or puck for sharpening. Do not heat the edge, for example, with an electric grinding wheel. If the axe head becomes loose or the handle is damaged, always replace the entire handle.
