    Product detailed description

    The first set of pencils released by Viarco with the aim of honoring the brand's history. It follows its goal to connect traditional manufacturing and brand memory with quality and innovation. This set is a faithful depiction of their production from 1950 to 1975. 

    Each pencil package depicts a specific activity that the youth engaged in during that period. For example, it shows a pair of boys with a bubble blower or a boy and a girl playing with kittens. These reissues also include an informational sheet about the brand's history in Portuguese and English. The set was created as an exclusive collaboration between Viarco and the brand "A Vida Portuguesa" and contains 12 colored pencils.

    Viarco 

    Viarco is a fourth-generation family business. It is located in São João da Madeira near Porto and was founded in 1907, remaining to this day the only pencil factory in Portugal. It produces pencils and sketching materials based on blends of graphite, carbon, and binders, which are still considered to be of the highest quality.

    Viarco je rodinný podnik čtvrté generace. Nachází se v São João da Madeira poblíž Porta a byl založen v roce 1907, dodnes zůstavá jedinou továrnou na tužky v Portugalsku. Vyrábí tužky a skicovací materiály na bázi směsí grafitu, uhlíku a pojiv, které jsou dodnes považovány za ty nejkvalitnější. K jejich výrobě používá tradiční postupy a kvalitní materiály, cedrové dřevo na výrobu pochází z ověřených a certifikovaných zdrojů (PEFC, FSC®). Viarco se také aktivně věnuje společenskému rozvoji svého regionu a organizuje edukativní programy pro děti, umělecké rezidence a muzeologické výstavy. Věří, že tužka je vynikající nástroj, se kterým všichni začínáme cykly učení - nezbytný pro psaný, matematický či hudební jazyk nebo plastické vyjadřování. Jako pravděpodobně nejmenší továrna na výrobu tužek na světě, vnímá důležitost  jednoduchých předmětů každodennosti jako reprezentaci vlastní identity.
