    Perforated Kitchen Tongs Sori Yanagi

    The minimalist and ergonomic design of these kitchen tongs makes them a truly universal tool. They are made from a single piece of stainless steel, which makes them lightweight, easy to maintain, and they require minimal effort to use. Therefore, they can be used quickly and carefully and can pick up even the most delicate foods without the risk of scratching kitchenware. The small holes at the ends of the tongs also allow picking up and draining the food simultaneously. They are ideal for cooking and elegant for serving. Designed by the world-renowned industrial designer Sori Yanagi, whose works have been exhibited in museums from MoMA to the Louvre. In 2001, they received the prestigious Good Design Award for their exceptional design and functionality.

    Manufacturer

    Sori Yanagi, known for creating timeless designs and user-friendly tools for the kitchen and home, is considered one of the most influential product designers and leading figures in post-war industrial design in Japan. Besides furniture and household products, he also designed toys, motorcycles, and even subway stations. His designs often connect simple practicality and the possibilities of Western industrial design with elements and techniques of Japanese craft traditions. His ply stool, the Butterfly Stool, is today manufactured by Vitra. Most kitchen and tableware are produced by Nihon Yoshokki Co., Ltd. in the Japanese city of Tsubame in Niigata Prefecture, which is a center for cutlery and steel manufacturing.
