With the soft lead, you can easily change the intensity and thickness of the drawn line or use it for really dark and bold lines reminiscent of Chinese ink. The pencil also comes with a hand-stitched cap, made from high-quality leather. The cap allows you to carry the pencil with you at all times without dulling the tip or staining your clothes or textile case. It looks great peeking out of a breast pocket. The cap fits perfectly on the thicker Gekkoso pencil but can also fit regular pencils and smaller carving knives. Just keep in mind that if you use the cap on a thick pencil, it will stretch over time and won't hold on regular ones.
