    Squares from the English brand Joseph Marples 

    The squares are made from walnut or birch wood, the blades are of hardened, blue steel. They have a precisely finished brass part that serves to prevent damage and maintain accuracy. The blades are fastened using all-brass rivets. The squares are manufactured according to the BS3322 standard. Each piece is tested for accuracy twice during production and again before shipping. The squares are tested on both sides, on both the internal and external surfaces. The specification for the internal angle is twice as precise as the specification stated in the British standard, with an accuracy better than 0.01 mm per each 10 mm of blade length.
