    French Work Shirt Le Laboureur 

    The French work shirt, produced by Le Laboureur for over 60 years, has become an iconic garment with a tried and tested, well-thought-out design. It features a traditional straight cut with loose sleeves, three outer pockets, and one inner chest pocket. Le Laboureur builds on its tradition and through its garments, makes the history of the French working class accessible. The work shirts and jackets are produced in their family factory in Digoin and offer a wide range of colors and materials. Originally worn by agricultural and industrial workers, today they are synonymous with functional style and are ready to become a daily companion both at work and outside of it. They are excellent outerwear, wide enough for layering, but not too bulky on their own. In winter, they can fit under a larger jacket or coat. The pockets can be used for tools, but also for wallets, phones, diaries, or gloves. The Bugatti shade shirt is deep blue with blue buttons. It is made from 100% cotton twill of high weight, which is soft, breathable, and easy to maintain. On the inner pocket, there's a sewn large embroidered label and one spare button.

    Manufacturer

    The company was founded in the 1950s by a young Italian emigrant Primo Zélanti. Since its inception, it has been based in the French town of Digoin in Burgundy. Le Laboureur translates to "the ploughman" and its production today focuses on two main areas - workwear and traditional garments of its region. The main goal of Le Laboureur is quality and worker protection, but they are not afraid to add vibrant colors or interesting functional details to tested designs. Since 2010, they have also regularly collaborated with designer Junya Watanabe on collections for the Japanese brand Comme des Garçons.

    Material and Maintenance

    100% cotton twill - 340 g/m2.

    Twill fabrics are sturdy regardless of material, retain their shape, and last a long time. Cotton twill is valued for its softness, breathability, and easy maintenance. Garments made of 100% cotton twill can be worn year-round because the fabric is breathable while insulating, making it pleasant in both hot and cold weather. It is also easy to care for, as it can be machine washed and dried at low temperatures without deformation or fading.

    For the longest preservation of the fabric and colors, it is recommended to clean only stained areas and wash at lower temperatures, a maximum of 40°C. Fortunately, work jackets also suit the worn look they acquire after many washes.

    The listed dimensions are in centimeters. The shirt has a slightly oversized cut. We recommend ordering the same size you usually wear in shirts or coats.

Původním étosem značky bylo poskytovat místním řemeslníkům každodenní odolné a spolehlivé oblečení a toto poslání je dodržováno dodnes. I přesto, že portfolio francouzské značky je stále dost tradiční, láká ke spolupráci i globální módní a lifestyle značky. Le Laboureur má za sebou kolabo s japonskou značkou Comme des Garçons, pro kterou vyrábí černou košili a bundu, s černými knoflíky a detaily a výrazným bílým, ručně dělaným, tiskem na zádech.
