Japanese Carving Knives Ikeuchi Hamono

It is set into an ergonomically shaped wooden handle that ensures comfortable grip even during prolonged work. These knives are suitable for beginners as well as for complementing professional carving equipment. They are especially suitable for working with soft wood. Ideal for detailed carving work - carving letters, reliefs, fine lines, or spaces inside products. The knives are available in ten different profiles for various uses. Material and Maintenance

Aogami #2 blue steel is a steel with a high carbon content. It also contains tungsten (W) and chromium (Cr), making the blade more resistant to wear during everyday use. It retains a sharp edge for a long time and is less prone to chipping than other types of steel. The handle is made from Zelkova wood (Japanese elm). The sheath for the blade is made of faux leather.

The steel has a higher carbon content, so it is necessary to care for the tool. After work, always clean and keep the knife dry. After each use, apply a thin layer of oil on the blade - preferably camellia or linseed oil. Store it with the sheath on.

Note: The knives are extremely sharp right out of the package, handle them with care.
