J.W. Huberd was the founder of Huberd's Shoe Grease Company. He was born in 1890 in Idaho and as a young man worked on a farm and in the mining industry. He later began producing leather care products that could protect leather products from harsh conditions. In 1929, he founded Huberd's Shoe Grease Company and began producing his original product, Huberd's Shoe Grease, which became very popular among people who needed protection for their footwear and other leather products.

The exact formula of this wax balm is a trade secret, but its key ingredients include a blend of natural oils, beeswax, and pine tar. The manufacturer uses 100% unfiltered, untreated beeswax containing propolis. Although the balm has a honey-colored appearance, it dries clear after application. It moisturizes, nourishes, and protects leather from moisture. Pine tar possesses antibacterial and antifungal properties that help protect leather and preserve its condition. For centuries, it has been used to treat and protect wood, rope, and leather. The wax balm contains no animal fats, preservatives, or synthetic compounds, ensuring that it will not damage fibers or cause unwanted stretching of the leather.

Ideal for the care of shoes, work boots, and highly used leather products. It can also be used on sports equipment, leather jackets, wallets, belts, handbags, bags, and more. It impregnates, protects, and restores. Before use, ensure shoes are clean and dry, ideally at room temperature. Apply a small amount directly to the leather and work it in with a soft cloth or brush. Let the shoes dry overnight and then polish them with a clean cloth to achieve a shine.
