Material

The handle is made from red oak. The tips are a duplex alloy of steel and iron.

Note: Supplied in a paper box with a plastic holder.

Maintenance

After use, dry the blade and apply a thin layer of anti-corrosion oil. Store the tool in a dry place, ideally in a wooden case or fabric wrap. The chisels should be regularly sharpened with Japanese water stones; sharpening is done exclusively on one (angled) side, the other (back) side is only lightly touched to the stone to maintain a flat contact edge. You can use, for example, a Suehiro sharpening stone for carving tools and camellia oil.
